I'm an Award‑winning
Visual Journalist in Washington

HELLO THERE

Welcome to my website.

I’m a passionate video journalist and visual storyteller with deep experience across broadcast, digital, and social media platforms. From global summits to frontline reporting, I’ve worked on high-impact stories in collaboration with some of the world’s leading news organizations. My focus is always the same: to capture truth with clarity, creativity, and integrity.

Some of my coverage

I bring decades of experience across web, social media, and television broadcasting. My career has taken me to over 100 countries, where I’ve reported from the frontlines of major global conflicts and high-risk war zones. I specialize in sourcing stories, filming in challenging environments, and producing compelling video content for diverse platforms. With deep editorial insight and hands-on production skills, I turn complex moments into clear, impactful narratives.

Mogadishu, SOMALIA
Taken during an assignment in one of the most challenging regions I’ve worked in. In Somalia, I documented humanitarian crises and political realities through news reporting and documentary production. These efforts aimed to reflect the complexities on the ground with accuracy and respect for the people living through them.
The War in Afghanistan
Operation Enduring Freedom began in October 2001 in response to the September 11 terrorist attacks on the United States. I covered frontline operations and humanitarian efforts as a field cameraman and visual storyteller.
Bosnia and Herzegovina
This image was taken during the height of the Bosnian War (1992–1995), one of the most devastating conflicts in post–World War II Europe. I was on assignment to document the humanitarian toll and the collapse of multiethnic coexistence. The war’s complexity and brutality left a deep impact on everyone who witnessed it — including those behind the camera.
Arab Spring – Tahrir Square, Cairo
I was on the ground during the pivotal days of the Arab Spring in Egypt, where Tahrir Square became the epicenter of mass protests demanding democratic reform. The atmosphere was charged with both hope and uncertainty as tensions escalated—particularly with the growing influence of the Muslim Brotherhood, who sought to steer the uprising in their favor.
Conflict in Somalia, Mogadishu
Captured during a separate assignment in Somalia, this image reflects the rise of global jihadist influence in the region. My reporting at the time focused on al-Shabaab’s evolving tactics and the foreign fighters joining their ranks. Working in such a volatile environment demanded extreme caution and a strong commitment to documenting truth under pressure.
The First Gulf War
I covered the aftermath of the Gulf War on the ground in 1993, when the region was still grappling with the devastation left behind. From military checkpoints to displaced communities, this assignment offered an unfiltered view of the long-term human and geopolitical impact of a war that had reshaped the Middle East.
Beijing, China
After reporting from Urumqi, Kashgar, and across the Uyghur region, I traveled to Beijing for official meetings and further coverage. This story centers on the tensions and unrest between the Chinese government and the Uyghur minority in what is officially called the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region.
